I graduated in 1993 with honours from the University of Queensland. I have worked in the Redlands and surrounding areas for most of this 25 year period. I did two stud seasons for Newhaven Park Stud, Boorowa NSW in 1995 and 1996, and in 1997, a post graduate mixed but predominantly equine internship at the University of Sydney.
I am very passionate about providing ambulatory veterinary care that is from a strong, current knowledge base. I thus encourage my staff to attend conferences and pursue a high standard of veterinary care. Prior to 2020, I have been a regular attendee of the annual American Association of Equine Practitioners Conventions, probably the most cutting edge broad based equine veterinary conference in the world.
I have attained the higher levels of Membership qualification from the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, by examination in Equine Medicine in 1997, Equine Surgery in 2009 and Equine Dentistry in 2018.
I have been an FEI veterinarian since 2000 with career highlights being, a treatment veterinarian at Beijing Paralympics in 2008, the Australian Dressage and Paradressage teams vet for Kentucky World Equestrian Games in 2010 and London Olympics in 2012. I am currently the Australian para equestrian team vet.
I officiate at events locally in an FEI capacity and also as a treatment vet. I am accredited by the FEI as an Official Vet in Jumping, Dressage, Endurance 2* and Eventing. I am also FEI accredited as a testing and treatment veterinarian.
I am committed to providing quality compassionate veterinary care to horses in our area, with a 24hr emergency service manned by a team of knowledgeable equine veterinarians.
I support local events, sponsoring many financially and providing veterinary services on request.
